Innovation is the key to success, what ignites Innovation is Inspiration.
While some naturally intelligent individuals can create something out of nothing, most of us need a spark to ignite our creativity.
Each year, I develop over 100 new products, and about 70% of those are inspired by everyday experiences. For instance, while riding a gondola on a ski trip, I was inspired to design a Peg Bag.
I often tell my team that simply replicate from what you see, is essentially copying. However, if you see a car and it inspires you to make an oven mitten, that's what I call 'innovation inspired by observation'.
